The following operations can be performed on wires: • Create new wires using a mouse click and drag. • Delete a wire by selecting it and pressing the delete key, or choosing 'Delete Wire' from the menu. • Change the length by clicking on either end and dragging. • Change the color by selecting a wire and choosing a color from the 'Color' menu, or by double-clicking on the wire. • Constrain drawing by holding down the shift key. Movement will be constrained to the direction with the greatest initial change. Constraint will remain in effect until the mouse button is released. Color Note: There are currently three methods for determining the color of wires in MacBreadboard. • by Node - colors the wires according to the node or socket they are in. +5 is Red, Gnd is Black, Clock is Yellow etc. • by Length - colors the wires according to the coloring scheme use by manufacturers of pre-cut and pre-stripped wire. Color is determined by the length of the wire. A few examples are 3-Red, 4-Orange, 5-Yellow etc. • Custom - colors a new or selected wire according to user selections.
